Moisture and Soil Requirements: Grow in average, medium, well-drained soil. Best in a moist, light, well-drained sandy loam. Drought tolerant.

Insect problems: None serious
Diseases: Crown and root rot are occasional problems.
Maintenance notes: Plant 18-24 inches apart to promote good air circulation, which will also help minimize the occurrence of rot diseases. Stake tall plants. May self-seed. Salt tolerant.
Uses: Great cut flower and in dried flower arrangements. Wonderful in the perennial border with its airy blooms, or in the rock garden.
